Our team modeled the geometry and machined the aluminum mold for the BASF Hemp Chair completely in-house. We created the initial manufacturing methods and systems for its production.

Material Report

Our hemp formula contains 72% natural fibers — 22% more than the average composite. Use of this could drastically reduce dependence on nonrenewable plastics.

Acrodur, BASF’s water-based acrylic resin, is free of formaldehyde and other hazardous chemicals. No VOC’s or noxious gases are released upon temperature shock.
